👋 About Me

Hello and welcome! I'm Mackenzie, an MSW student at Nazareth University specializing in working with clients on the autism spectrum. As an early diagnosed autistic woman myself, I understand on a personal level the importance of having a therapist who can relate to the hardships of navigating a neurotypical world, while truly empathizing and providing meaningful support. My therapeutic style is centered around neurodivergent affirming and trauma informed care, helping each client to understand themselves and their environments on a deeper level without any judgement. We'll use modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing throughout sessions to achieve such goals. I also identify and am very familiar with the LGBTQ+ community, and believe that anyone of any orientation deserves the right to care in which they are fully seen and respected in their identity. If you choose to work with me, I can assure you that the process will be as collaborative as possible and that you'll get to discover unexplored aspects of yourself, while making sure you get exactly what you need out of your mental health care. Thank you so much for considering me to be part of your mental health journey, and if I seem like the right fit, I look forward to working with you!
