Howdy! I’m Adam, a board-certified music therapist and graduate student in clinical mental health counseling at the College of William & Mary. For the past five years, I’ve worked at a public inpatient mental health institute, supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds.
I believe gaining an intersectional understanding of a person is critical to addressing their needs—meeting them emotionally, physically, cognitively, socially, and communicatively. My background in music therapy informs my approach, emphasizing creative self-expression as a path to emotional regulation. I also draw from humanistic, IFS, and narrative approaches to support growth and healing.
