Down-to-earth

I’m Tristan Martin, a final year candidate in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Adler Graduate School. I want to commend you for taking the first step towards change and the healing process. My approach in therapy is to focus on each person’s private story, strengths, struggles, values and cultural orientation with honesty, respect and warmth. I believe that having a comfortable, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood can be the beginning of meaningful relief and positive change.

I enjoy working with individuals or couples with a goal of meeting you where you are, listening without judgment, and creating a space where you feel supported and empowered to explore what is happening in your life. I have unusually diverse life experiences and can help people who are experiencing lasting pain, confusion, or difficulty in their relationships and everyday lives.

I have confidence working creatively with people from all backgrounds and belief systems and especially enjoy helping people process emotions through expressive arts. Together, we can explore the challenges you're facing, build on your existing strengths, develop healthier ways of coping and communicating, and work toward greater balance, healing, and connection.
