👋 About Me

Hi, I’m Raquel Olaya. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I believe meaningful change begins within a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and genuine connection. My path into counseling has been shaped by both my academic training as a current student at Houston Christian University and my own personal mental health journey. These experiences have deepened my compassion and strengthened my desire to support others as they navigate their own growth and healing. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and a holistic perspective. Overall, I take an eclectic approach. Adapting techniques to meet your unique needs, explore thought patterns, build emotional awareness, and align your actions with your values. I enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, OCD, and life transitions. I strive to help you build insight, resilience, and lasting change. Reaching out can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’d be honored to support you.
