Mandy Clayton

I'm Mandy, and I'm in my final year of the Master in Counseling program at Southwestern College and the New Earth Institute. My path to becoming a therapist began in a surprising place: the aisles of my family's local grocery store. Growing up, I learned the profound impact that simply feeling seen and heard can have on a person, and that deep desire to connect with individuals has guided me ever since.

My approach is strength-based and client-centered. I create a safe space where you can take small, intentional steps toward significant change, integrating a variety of methods to fit your unique needs. We can draw from evidence-based techniques like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care, as well as mindfulness techniques, a somatic approach, and even ecotherapy. I am passionate about guiding people through life’s difficult periods, whether you are navigating a major transition, coping with loss, or simply seeking more peace and clarity in your daily life.

In my personal time, I love going for walks with my dog, reading books, gardening, working with horses, and spending time with loved ones. I believe in the simple yet powerful truth: "no mud, no lotus."
