👋 About Me

Hi there, I am a social work intern who brings a diverse background in both education and hands-on mental health experience. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2020, which helped lay the foundation for my interest in understanding human behavior and supporting one's emotional well-being. Following graduation, I was a full-time individualized childcare provider for two years while I waited to enlist in the United States Air Force. Once I enlisted in 2022, I worked as a mental health technician and gained valuable experience supporting individuals in high-stress environments. During the middle of my enlistment, I deployed to the Middle East, providing support to members across multiple branches of the military. In this role, I assisted individuals as they adjusted to the demands of deployment, including operational stress, separation from family, and challenges within personal relationships. My work focused on providing practical, compassionate support to promote resilience stability, and overall psychological readiness during deployment. I am in the final two semesters of my Master of Social Work program at the University of West Florida, where my training has deepened my commitment to providing empathetic, client-centered care grounded in a strengths-based approach.
