Hi, I’m Jen! I know it can be overwhelming to navigate all the information out there on what therapy looks like. Together, we can identify what your specific goals & needs are, whether it’s related to anxiety & depression, life transitions, navigating relationships, stress, Internet overconsumption, or however else therapy can best fit into your unique life.
In our digital age, I find leading with humanistic values to be more important than ever. I take an integrative approach, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy to use your values towards strengthening your daily life and relationships. You are the expert on your life, while my role is to show up with warmth, authenticity, & even humor to create a non-judgmental environment where we can collaboratively build your self compassion, understanding, and practical skills towards progress.
As a current Masters in Mental Health Counseling student, I have experience at Brooklyn College’s personal counseling center working with a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate level students navigating stress, adjustments, and relationships, but I am open to working with all ages and backgrounds. I see therapy as a creative process, which I appreciate as a native NYer and hobbyist illustrator. I look forward to connecting!
