My name is Hildeberto Ruiz-Jarquin, but you can call me Berto. I am a second-year MFT graduate student at Touro University Worldwide. I have worked in the mental health setting for 7 + years through school-based services, case management wraparound, mobile crisis response work, and therapeutic behavioral services.
Navigating my own personal journey with mental health has shaped my view on the work I do with clients and families. I strive to provide a safe space, active listening, and acknowledging each individual's unique identities. I welcome people from all backgrounds.
Some of the approaches that I enjoy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
