“Jisie ike.” - Igbo for “Hold on to your strength. Keep going.” It’s something my Nigerian mother often said to me growing up, and it has stayed with me into adulthood. To me, it’s a reminder that life can ask a lot of us, and sometimes what we need most is encouragement, space to breathe, and someone who believes in us while we find our way forward.
As a therapist, I want you to feel you can bring your whole self into the room. I’m warm, encouraging, relational, and strengths-based, with a solution-focused approach. I care about creating a space where you can speak openly without judgment, explore what you’re experiencing, and better understand yourself. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults, including BIPOC clients, navigating identity, self-esteem, relationships, family or cultural expectations, anxiety, life transitions, or simply figuring out what comes next.
Our work will be collaborative and compassionate, with room for honest reflection and practical support. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and offer gentle challenges while respecting that you know yourself best. Together, we can notice patterns, build on your strengths, and explore next steps.
My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more understood, grounded, confident, and connected to yourself and empowered to make choices and build a life that feels true to who you are.
