Hello! I am a second-year MSW student at the University of Denver, currently in my concentration-year internship. I am passionate about understanding people through the lens of their personal history, recognizing that everyone's story is unique and meaningful.
Together, we will explore your story, identify your goals, and develop a collaborative treatment plan to guide our work. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT), and trauma-informed approaches. A guiding principle in our sessions is: Name it, Claim it, Own it, a process where we explore, validate, and build skills to take ownership of emotional responses to life's stressors.
A little about me: I am a father, husband, student, and veteran. My path into social work began during my military career, where I served as an Equal Opportunity Leader advocating for equity and access. The encouragement of my own social worker inspired me to pursue the LCSW path. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be part of your story.
