👋 About Me

My name is Annette Robertson-Maragh, and I am an MSW student at Walden University and previously trained at Grace Medical Home in Orlando, FL, where I worked in case management to assist community members with gaps in medical care and barriers to accessing basic resources. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management and an Associate of Business Administration. Outside of work, I enjoy time with family, gardening, reading, movies, music, and traveling.

I have always felt compassion and great empathy for persons who are bullied, disenfranchised, or disadvantaged. As a child, I often felt an urgent need to understand and help people who were hurt or in trouble, and a need to help in any way I could. It is, therefore, no wonder that I would pursue a career path from nursing and elderly care to clinical research, and finally to social work.

My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I integrate humanistic and, when appropriate, mindfulness-based perspectives to support the whole person. Working collaboratively, we will create a personalized plan based on your preferences that promotes self-awareness, adaptive coping, and sustainable growth. I look forward to meeting with you during our session.
