Hi there! I'm Anna Kelman, a master's student in counseling at Northwestern University (CACREP-accredited). I chose this path because I genuinely believe in the power of therapeutic intervention to provide evidence-based support to anyone brave enough to seek it, whether navigating mental health concerns, relationships, career development, family dynamics, life transitions, or the everyday challenges that quietly weigh on us.
Based in Brooklyn, NY, I'm excited to serve my community after graduation with culturally responsive, empathetic, trauma-informed care. My CACREP training and 200+ hours of supervised client contact through practicum and internship have built my competencies in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and a range of therapeutic modalities โ all grounded in ethical, client-centered practice.
I see therapy as a deeply collaborative process. Through honesty, trust, and a shared commitment to the work, we can move together toward the goals you set from our very first sessions.
Before returning to school, I spent over a decade as a producer in film and television โ I've always loved working with creative people! My background in the VFX industry taught me something I carry into every session: with enough hard work, a little imagination, and the right support, you really can change the way you see your world.
