I’m Alisha Kemp, and I believe that even when life feels overwhelming, there is always a way forward. My experiences with financial hardship, academic challenges, competitive sports, and military service have taught me the value of resilience, dedication, and taking life one step at a time. These experiences have shaped how I connect with others with compassion, honesty, and without judgment. I value open, direct communication and believe that sometimes the difficult conversations are the ones that help us understand what is holding us back and move toward where we want to be.
For the past six years, I’ve served as active duty Army, working alongside Soldiers as they navigate some of life’s most difficult challenges, including substance use, legal difficulties, financial crises, sexual harassment and assault, and relationship struggles. These experiences have strengthened my passion for understanding how our relationships, particularly our family relationships, shape our lives and influence the choices we make. In therapy, my goal is to help you better understand your experiences, identify the patterns or challenges standing in your way, and create a realistic path toward meaningful change. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
