Alicia Pooley

Every person has a story that deserves to be heard, and I feel honored to step into that space. I bring warmth, compassion, and collaboration to therapy, meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they explore their experiences, define goals, and move toward change.

My background as a certified school counselor shaped my ability to be a steady, trusted presence for children and adolescents. I hold a BA in Psychology from SUNY Cortland, an MA in School Counseling from Mercy College, and am pursuing my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University at Buffalo.

I take a person-centered approach, integrating CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and parts work to support healing and growth. I’m passionate about creating space where people feel seen, heard, and a little lighter — even amid struggle.

Specialties: anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional regulation, self-esteem, school and relationship challenges, identity exploration.
