Hello! My name is Ajia Mouritsen, and I am an advanced-year Master of Social Work student at Baylor University. My background in neuroscience, combined with my passion for positive psychology and mindfulness, has shaped the way I approach therapy. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to grow. I believe healing happens through authentic connection, and that even in life's hardest moments, there is still room for laughter.

As a military spouse, I have a special passion for working with veterans and military families, and I also have experience supporting neurodiverse individuals and children. I believe every person's story is unique, and I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to build on their strengths. Outside of therapy, you'll often find me golfing, playing pickleball, or exploring the outdoors. I believe that growth is not linear and that emotional well-being does not mean the absence of difficult emotions. Rather, I believe we can make space for those emotions while also cultivating joy. My hope is to help clients recognize their strengths and develop a greater sense of balance as they navigate their own unique journey.
