Sol Health Group Therapy: Terms of Participation

Effective 9/28/2026

Sol Health offers virtual group therapy and psychoeducational workshops ("Groups") to support clients' emotional wellbeing in a shared setting. By registering for a Group, you agree to the following terms. Your facilitators will review these guidelines at the start of your first session.

1. About Sol Groups

Groups are facilitated by graduate-level therapists in training who practice under the clinical supervision of licensed mental health professionals. Groups are intended to complement individual therapy, not replace it. Groups are not designed for crisis intervention or for processing acute distress or significant trauma.

2. Platform and Privacy

Groups meet by video through Google Meet, a platform Sol uses under a Business Associate Agreement consistent with HIPAA requirements. Your meeting link is for you alone and may not be shared. Recording, photographing, screenshotting, or transcribing any part of a Group session, by any means, is strictly prohibited.

3. Confidentiality

Everything shared in Group, including the identities of other members, must remain within the Group. Facilitators are bound by professional confidentiality obligations, but Sol cannot guarantee that every participant will honor this agreement. We ask you to share only what you are comfortable having heard by others.

Facilitators may be legally required to break confidentiality if they believe there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or if they suspect the abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult.

4. Your Participation Environment

To protect the privacy of every member, please:

  • Join from a private, quiet location where you cannot be overheard. Headphones are strongly encouraged.
  • Keep your camera on and remain visible and seated for the full session.
  • Mute your microphone when you are not speaking.
  • Silence notifications and set aside other devices and tasks.
  • Refrain from driving, working, or attending to other activities during Group.

5. Conduct and Respect

Members are expected to treat one another with courtesy and respect. Please speak from your own experience, refrain from giving advice or commentary on others' shares, and respect that sharing is always optional. Do not attend Group under the influence of alcohol or other substances, and refrain from smoking or vaping on camera. Discriminatory, harassing, or disruptive behavior is not permitted.

6. Attendance

Please join on time. Members who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start time may be asked to join the following session. For multi-week workshops, sessions build on one another, and consistent attendance is expected. If you can no longer attend, please notify your group facilitators via email.

7. Safety and Emergencies

At the start of each session, facilitators may ask you to confirm your current location so that emergency services could be contacted if needed. By registering, you agree to provide an emergency contact and authorize Sol to reach that person if facilitators believe you are at imminent risk.

Groups are not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

8. Removal from Group

Sol may pause, redirect, or end a member's participation if facilitators determine that continued participation is not clinically appropriate or that a member's conduct compromises the safety or confidentiality of the Group. Where appropriate, facilitators will recommend alternative support, such as individual therapy.

9. Fees

Sol Groups are offered at no cost to registered participants. However, please be mindful that space in each Group is intentionally limited to preserve an intimate, supportive environment. By registering, you are reserving a place that could otherwise be offered to another client. If you are unable to attend, we ask that you notify your group facilitator as soon as possible so your place may be offered to someone on our waitlist. Members who miss twoconsecutive sessions without notice may be removed from the Group roster.

10. Technical Difficulties

If you are unable to join because of a technical issue, contact your group facilitator and we will make every effort to assist you.

11. Changes to These Terms

Sol may update these terms from time to time. Continued participation in Groups constitutes acceptance of the current terms.

Questions about these terms may be directed to contact@solhealth.co.
