I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&M University (Whoop!) and my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have served in several capacities, including at local non-profit agencies, in a psychiatric hospital setting, at the local mental health authority, in private practice, and for a managed care organization.
I specialize primarily in couples counseling, healing from trauma, attachment and inner child work, and substance use disorders. My modalities include EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, attachment theory, and components of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
My clinical supervision style is rooted in psychoeducation, empowerment, and support. I believe in meeting supervisees where they are at, recognizing their individual strengths, experiences, and areas for growth. I strive to create a collaborative and encouraging space where supervisees feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, strengthening their clinical skills, and developing their own professional identity!
