
Giselle Martinez, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with adults, families, and adolescents across diverse settings, including substance use, HIV care, intimate partner violence, and mental health. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work in 2013.
Giselle began her career at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where she collaborated with the Adult Emergency Department’s interdisciplinary team to support patients with complex emotional, psychosocial, and concrete needs, helping facilitate safe and appropriate discharges. In May 2017, she transitioned to the World Trade Center Health Program, conducting mental health assessments for first responders of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks during their monitoring visits, while also connecting them with essential benefits and services.
Currently, Giselle is employed full-time at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she continues her clinical practice and provides direct supervision to MSW students. She practices from a strength-based perspective and integrates both psychodynamic and behavioral approaches into her work.
Giselle is passionate about mentoring and is especially excited about providing supervision and support to clinicians in training.
