👋 About Me

Hello! I'm Ilana Steinmetz, a final year candidate in the Master’s in Mental Health Counseling program at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, safe, and supported—where healing conversations can unfold at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and evolving. I use an integrative style, drawing on person-centered therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and ACT, tailoring our work to your unique needs and goals. I’m especially passionate about supporting clients navigating anxiety, grief, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, and chronic illness.

Having lived with Type 1 Diabetes for over two decades, I bring both clinical perspective and personal understanding to this work. I’ll meet you with empathy, curiosity, and respect as we explore what matters most to you.
