Have you ever felt isolated, misunderstood, or as though your voice isn’t being heard? You’re not alone in those experiences — and you don’t have to navigate them by yourself.
I’m Catherine, a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in New Jersey and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York. I earned my Master of Social Work from Rutgers University and work with individuals navigating trauma, identity, and belonging, with particular care for those impacted by early childhood trauma, transracial adoption, and cultural disconnection.
As an international Chinese transracial adoptee, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work. I strive to create an affirming space where you don’t have to over-explain, minimize, or shrink any part of who you are. Your full identity is welcome here.
My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I draw from psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral frameworks to help you deepen emotional insight, understand patterns shaped by past experiences, and develop practical tools for emotional regulation and self-compassion. Together, we may explore family dynamics, attachment patterns, identity development, and both past and present traumas — always at a pace that feels safe and collaborative.
My goal is to support you in feeling more grounded in yourself and more empowered in your relationships and life choices. You deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported in your full humanity. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in your healing process.
