“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”

— Brené Brown

Therapy doesn’t eliminate life’s challenges—but it can empower you with the tools to face them and make the journey more manageable.

My name is Alexius, and I am a Master's student in the Social Work program at Rutgers University. I’ve always been passionate about understanding the mind and how healthy coping mechanisms can help us navigate our daily lives and grow through what we experience. My drive as a therapist-in-training is to support meaningful mental change in the lives of those actively seeking it.

In therapy, I employ a person-centered approach. I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for individuals to feel comfortable and empowered to take on an active role in their own healing. I typically draw from CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing strategies in my approach. However, I intend to achieve a certain flexibility in therapy, which can be used to address a wide range of challenges depending on the needs of the individual.

With an understanding that the field of mental health is forever evolving, I am committed to lifelong learning. My mission is to walk alongside clients as they discover resilience, growth, and healthier ways to engage with life.
