Therapist-in-training

Are you struggling or have you struggled in the past? Mental health is important and I want to be able to support you. Some days you may feel on top of the world when other days you feel like you can't get out of bed due to a debilitating sense of stress, depression, and anxiety. My experiences have led me to work with individuals who may feel stuck or alone navigating through a difficult time in life whether that has to do with school, work, relationships, or life in general.

My name is Megan Dickerson. I am a Master's Degree student in the Social Work Advanced Standing Program at Rutgers University. I also received a BS in Social Work with a minor in Childhood Studies. I am here to provide a supportive and safe non-judgmental space. Together we will explore your stressors and create a plan to help you reach your goals.

I work with college aged students who are from many different cultural backgrounds. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, strength based, and empowering. We will work together to develop individualized skills to help you conquer every day's stressors.

I understand discussing life's challenges can be difficult and uncomfortable. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space to help you reach your goals. Building a strong relationship with my clients is essential for therapeutic work. Together we will work to come up with the best plan for you!
