ShaTina Hunter

Hey there! I am ShaTina, a second-year Master of Social Work student at Salisbury University in Maryland. My passion drives me to help others discover their strengths and achieve their goals socially, emotionally, and even academically, using my experience in social work and higher education. I am committed to creating a space where individuals of all communities and backgrounds are heard, seen, and valued.

My therapeutic approach is influenced by person-centered therapy and empowerment theory. I recognize the inherent resilience and potential in every individual, and my goal is to help clients harness that strength to navigate life's challenges. I fully acknowledge that our past and present affect our thoughts and behaviors, and these lived experiences shape who we are. I strongly believe in meeting clients where they are, fostering a strong relationship with respect and trust as the foundation, and tailoring interventions to their unique needs and goals.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey—see you soon!
