Maya Iliff

Hi there, I’m Maya (they/them), a therapist-in-training with a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. My clinical focus is shaped by my work in child welfare, substance use treatment, and LGBTQ+ community support, with a deep commitment to healing structural trauma and honoring lived experience.

I work with individuals navigating C-PTSD, religious trauma, body disconnection, and identity exploration - especially trans and nonbinary clients.

Each emotion that comes up will be greeted with openness, welcoming tears, laughter and anger. My style is client-centered, relational, and trauma-informed. Sessions are conversational and collaborative, often integrating DBT skills, somatic work, and behavioral activation to reconnect you to your body and values. I’ll explain the "why" behind each tool, so you're never left in the dark.

Whether you’re coming in with a heavy heart or just starting to unpack your story, I’ll meet you where you are - with warmth, cultural humility, and radical empathy. My goal is to help you move at your own pace, weaving healing into every part of your life.
