Samantha Feliz

Therapist-in-training

Hi and welcome! My name is Samantha and I am an intern-in-training with Sol Health. I am completing my last year of my Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.A. program with Kean University this Spring 2025 and I’m looking forward to working with you on your mental health journey!

I recognize that each person comes to me with their unique circumstances and story to be told! I am committed to helping my clients navigate their mental health through a person-centered, holistic approach, exploring what brings you in – the here and now – and finding ways to support you as you work through your journey and learn more about what will help you move through current and future chapters of your story.

As a therapist, my approach is an eclectic one drawing inspiration from CBT, DBT, Narrative therapy, Reality Therapy, and Existential theory. I work with my clients to learn and implement new strategies and coping techniques throughout our sessions that will help them improve wellness in their homes, self, relationships, and areas of passion and interests among other things. I believe my clients are the experts of their own journeys and I seek to help them build a sense of security and control of their lives as a steadfast ally to their treatment via a trauma-informed and multiculturally sensitive lens.

Through personal experiences and years of mental health advocacy work and education, I understand the challenge of finding one’s power amidst life’s obstacles and our own unnurtured wounds. It is through these experiences I find my commitment to support my clients in healing and embarking on their journeys for authenticity, purpose and wellness. As I continue to do work in this field, I hope to grow daily as a clinician and to someday be able to bring accessible care to underserved communities as well as to open my own private practice where clients may find support, strength and nurturing in therapy.

I’m looking forward to working together and am so excited to meet you!
