Michelle Bull

Therapist-in-training

Hi, my name is Michelle. For the last 18 years I have worked in special education services, providing transition and career counseling for individuals with physical, cognitive, and mental health challenges. And now as a Mental Health Counselor in training, I plan to bring my passion and my expertise to our therapeutic relationship. My approach to counseling is person centered, culturally responsive, and trauma informed. I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Harm Reduction, Person Centered and Strength Based approaches, Neurodiversity, Disability and Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, and Chemical Dependency.

My role as the counselor is to empower you to make the changes that you want in your life. Perhaps you are struggling with negative self-talk that leads you feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.  Perhaps you were struggling in a relationship, and you need to be more assertive to ask for what you need. Or perhaps you have some past trauma that you need support in unpacking and processing. Everyone brings strengths and talents to counseling and I would be honored to help you use them to find your power and your voice. I look forward to working with you, humbly, without judgement, and embracing your faith or spiritual background.
