Michael Jaros

Therapist-in-training

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mike Jaros, I am in my last year of graduate school at the University of Buffalo getting a Mental Health Counseling license. I am currently a School Counselor with over six years of experience.  I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a husband, and a father to a pre-teen son that we adopted at birth from California.  I have worked in education for the majority of my career and I am excited to continue on my path in Mental Health as a Therapist-In-Training here at Sol Health.

My approach is client centered and I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.  As a School Counselor I have many years of practice in Solution Focused Brief Counseling.  I want to assist my clients in navigating life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based care. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or simply seeking greater clarity and connection in your life, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

It is my goal to normalize seeking support with a therapist for your own mental health. I will tailor each therapy session to meet your unique needs and goals. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and to help clients develop resilience, improve emotional well-being, and achieve personal growth. Whether you are facing a specific concern or seeking overall self-discovery, I am committed to guiding you toward healing and empowerment.   I look forward to working with you on your own mental health journey.
