Hi there! I’m Kelly (she/her), a therapist-in-training with a passion for supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and depressive disorders. My clinical approach is person-centered, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I draw from evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT, while also incorporating creative tools such as 3D art therapy, biofeedback, and mindfulness-based intervention to meet clients where they are.
I’m currently in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Florida State University, where I also contributed to research on sense of belonging and eating disorders in LGBTQ+ communities. Before grad school, I worked as a Psychiatric Associate on an adult inpatient unit and supported neurodivergent children as a behavior technician, experiences that deepened my commitment to providing grounded, compassionate care. I earned my BA in Psychology with a minor in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota, where my focus is on trauma-informed care and working with underserved and multicultural populations. Outside of the therapy room, I love exploring new art forms (ask me about 3D pens), relaxing with reality TV, and cooking comfort food that reminds me of home. I'm also a proud big sister and fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, maybe you'll hear me switch languages if it helps you feel more at ease. Therapy with me is a gentle, empowering process grounded in curiosity, self-compassion, and growth. I’m honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
