Katie Colton

Therapist-in-training

Hi! My name is Katie (she/her), and I’m excited to work together. My goal is to help you feel safe, comfortable, and free to open up at your own pace.

I believe our experiences — past and present — shape the way we think, feel, and move through life. By exploring and validating your thoughts and emotions, we can start to untangle patterns, make sense of what feels overwhelming, and work toward healing. I’m here to support you whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, grief, sexual and gender identity issues, relationship/work stress, and/or chronic illness. Finding the right words to express what you’re feeling isn’t always easy, and that’s okay.

We can tailor sessions to what feels right for you, drawing from psychodynamic, somatic, creative arts, and other trauma-informed approaches. I bring empathy, warmth, and humor to create a supportive environment where you can explore and grow.

Currently, I’m an MSW student at Yeshiva University in New York City and hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. I look forward to meeting you!
