Karmin Compton-Diago

Therapist-in-training

Hey there! My name is Karmin, and I am a therapist-in-training as well as a graduate student at the University of West Florida pursing my master’s degree in Social Work. I am deeply committed to supporting individuals navigating the complex experiences of grief, loss, anxiety and depression. My work is grounded in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, which together provide a balanced approach of structured guidance and compassionate, client-led exploration.

I believe that healing begins in a space where people feel truly seen, heard, and safe. Creating that environment is central to my practice. Whether someone is facing overwhelming emotions, struggling to find meaning after loss, or working to overcome persistent anxiety or low mood, I aim to walk alongside them with empathy and clarity.

Through collaborative goal setting, I help clients identify what matters most to them and build practical steps toward emotional resilience and personal growth. My role is not to direct, but to empower; offering tools, insight and a supportive presence as each individual moves through their unique journey of healing and change.
