Therapist-in-training

Thank you for your consideration. I am a therapist in training, and my approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that everyone has the potential to improve their lives, but sometimes, we need a little help to find the right place to start. My experience includes working with ADHD, PTSD, depression disorders, and generalized anxiety. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed practices to help individuals navigate their unique challenges.

No one is a lost cause. However, it may take time, curiosity, and patience to find the best path toward healing, especially as our experiences are shaped by the many intersecting aspects of our identities. As complex individuals, our challenges require equally nuanced approaches, and I enjoy assisting people with discovering the best ways to help themselves.

I am currently in the final year of the Master of Social Work program at Fayetteville State University. I have experience supporting adult survivors of childhood abuse and domestic violence, which has deeply informed my understanding of trauma and resilience. Additionally, as a visual artist, I value the role of creativity in the therapeutic process and appreciate the unique ways it can help people to express, explore, and heal. So, how about it? What creative ways can I assist you with helping yourself today?
