Dr. Garcia-Arcement earned her BA in Psychology from Stanford University before going on to pursue her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. She has been a licensed psychologist for over two decades, having begun her career at Bellevue Hospital before eventually starting her own private practice in 2012.
Dr. Garcia-Arcement’s work experience includes providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and insight oriented individual, couples and group therapy as well as offering supervision to psychology interns and externs, social work interns, psychiatry residents, mental health counselors and licensure-eligible psychologists. She held a faculty appointment at NYU School of Medicine and provided clinical supervision in CBT to psychiatry residents and psychology interns. Dr. Garcia-Arcement has also contributed to the field through numerous publications and teaching fellowships.
As Clinical Director, Dr. Garcia-Arcement is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations and ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of care. She works closely with our supervisors and therapist interns to develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's unique needs.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Garcia-Arcement is known for her passion for improving accessibility to therapy in underserved communities. As a child of immigrants, she has personally seen the struggles of accessing care for POCs, and as such, she is committed to tackling the equity gap in today’s mental health industry.
