Chris Helmer

Therapist-in-training

Hello, my name is Chris and I’m a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Asking for help can be hard, but I believe that if you put your trust in me I will tirelessly work with you to navigate your mental health journey. I studied Psychology and English at Penn State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Today, I’m currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Manhattan College.

My approach to therapy is rooted in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I strive to create a non-judgemental and friendly environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions. I believe that a genuine, interpersonal connection is key to fostering meaningful growth and well-being.
