Chelsea Arencibia

Therapist-in-training

Hello and welcome! My name is Chelsea, a second-year Master’s student in Clinical Social Work at Columbia University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication from Wake Forest University. My pronouns are she/her. My focus areas include self-care, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. As I work towards my LCSW license and plan to open my own practice, my goal is to offer a space where you can feel truly supported.

In our sessions, I combine techniques from psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, client-centered approaches, and DBT. In practice, I like to emphasize that therapy is not ‘one size fits all’ and it’s important to me to create a personalized experience that fits your unique goals and preferences. I am committed to creating an environment where you feel truly heard and respected as we navigate your emotions and experiences together.

I understand that reaching out for support takes courage, and I am here to empower you as we develop coping skills, discuss your experiences, and work through life’s challenges. I look forward to partnering with you and supporting you every step of the way.
