I’m glad you’re here! I’m Aaron, a therapist-in-training from Fort Worth, Texas. I enjoy partnering with clients learning to manage stressors, discover their sense of self, and balance life’s competing responsibilities.
I’ve worked with teens and adults to address a variety of concerns, from academic/career pressures and relationship issues to family trauma. The lived experiences which inform my practice include family trauma, divorce, career transition, substance use disorder, generalized anxiety, depression, autism, parenting, and LGBTQ+ issues.
As a clinician, I view my role as that of a “fellow traveler” - someone who is with you on your mental health journey. I’ll provide a nonjudgmental safe space while offering individualized, evidence-based counseling tools, including CBT, solutions-focused, Gestalt, and person-centered techniques.
Prior to pursuing my master’s from Midwestern State University, I earned a BM in Music Education from SMU. For the past 15 years, I’ve worked as a middle school English teacher and band director. My hobbies include quality time with my wife and two young daughters, playing retro video games, and tinkering in our music room (see: annoying our neighbors with raucous jam sessions). I hope to meet you soon!
