Laura Lin

Therapist-in-training

Hi there! Want to talk to someone? Sometimes life just feels a bit too much — and having a space to let it out, even with someone you’ve never met before, might actually help. Whether it’s school, family, relationships, or just that invisible pressure to “have it all together,” you deserve somewhere to sort through it all without judgment.

I’m Laura Lin, a bilingual (普通话-English) therapist-in-training and MSW student at Columbia University. I have worked with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, body image, cultural identity, eating disorder and big life transitions. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in deep respect for your lived experience. I pull from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered therapy, but more importantly, I adapt to you — because there’s no one-size-fits-all path to healing.

As someone who moved across cultures and languages, I know how difficult it can be when it comes to adjustment. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with the parts of you that might have gotten buried under stress or expectations. I’m here to listen — and I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
